Facing the task of bringing herself
back into public was the motivation for Carolyn Jones,
a 51 year-old breast cancer survivor, to consider a
class in exotic dancing. "At the point I signed
up for the class, I had just finished six months of
chemotherapy, surgery and reconstruction therapy. I
had just begun to get hair back and move around again."
She was looking to reconnect to life after beating death.
"I think of all the issues and all the changes
in my body, and I am able to face them now. This course
enabled me to look at myself beyond just the physical
presentation. I’ve been able to look at my body
with much more ease knowing I can love me whatever physical
shape I’m in."
